Self-driving from Delhi is roughly 500 km and takes 10–12 hours via NH44 to Chandigarh, then NH205/NH154 to Mandi, NH3 to Aut, and the Banjar road into Tirthan Valley. Start by 5 AM to reach Jibhi before sunset. Fuel costs will run ₹2,500–₹3,500 for the round trip.
Route from Chandigarh: scenic drive or bus
Chandigarh to Jibhi is roughly 260 km and takes 7–8 hours by car. The route follows NH205 and NH154 towards Mandi, then NH3 to Aut. After the Aut tunnel, take the right turn towards Banjar/Jibhi. Private taxis cost ₹5,000–₹7,000 one way depending on vehicle type.
If you prefer public transport, HRTC and private Volvo buses run from ISBT Sector 43 towards Kullu/Manali. Drop at Aut and catch a local bus or taxi to Jibhi. Total journey time by bus: 9–10 hours including the transfer at Aut.
