Honestly, it’s less about any one feature and more about what happens by your second evening: you know the names of a few other guests, there’s a trek being planned at the next table, and whether you’re dining alone or open to company, there’s a space for you in the café.

It holds up well enough that guests who book a week planning to "explore a bit" end up working full days from the café instead. It’s a 100+ Mbps fibre line with power backup for when the grid drops, and it stays reliable through calls and uploads.

The female-only dorm has its own door and lockers, our staff are always aware of who’s staying where at any given time, and reception is staffed from 8 am to 10 pm. Quite a few of our solo women guests say this is specifically why they picked us over a homestay.

Your bed or room, Wi-Fi, hot water, a locker if your room has one, and access to the common spaces. Meals aren’t included, but our café is right upstairs, serving food and drinks through the day and into the evening, with live music or a movie night on most evenings.

Usually, if there’s space, and a lot of guests do exactly this. Ask at reception as early as you can, since the good rooms go first, and we’ll work out the best rate for your whole stay.

The standard route is an overnight Volvo from Delhi to Aut, roughly 10 to 12 hours, then a local bus or taxi for the last hour or so into Jibhi. Send us your bus details before you leave and we’ll help sort that last taxi.

There’s limited space near the property for bikes and cars, and it does fill up. Message us before you arrive and we’ll tell you what’s free that day.

That’s most of what our team does between check-ins: Jalori Pass, Serolsar Lake, the waterfall walk, or a quieter village trail, depending on what the weather’s doing that day.

It’s pretty much who we built this for: dorm beds, a female-only dorm, a café where it’s easy to fall into conversation, and staff who’ll pair you up with a trek group if you don’t want to go solo.

Not at the moment. All our rooms are at The Rustic Jibhi; in Shoja we run a café, The Rustic Café Shoja, which makes a good stop on the way to or from Jalori Pass.
