We run two cafés, one in each village: upstairs at our hostel in Jibhi, and on the road to Jalori Pass in Shoja. Both do the same job: hot chai and proper coffee first thing, comfort food that doesn't pretend to be fancy, and a table you can sit at for three hours without anyone hurrying you along.

What makes us different
100+ Mbps fibre broadband at the Jibhi café, with power backup for when the grid drops. We’ve had guests finish a full client call through a power cut without noticing.
Whether you’re dining alone or open to company, there’s a space for you: a quiet corner with your laptop, or a table where conversation comes easily. There’s often a board game or a guitar drifting around too.
Home-style Himachali cooking sits on the same menu as backpacker comfort food like pasta and pancakes, and it’s all made to order, not reheated from a tray. Ask the kitchen what’s good that day — the answer changes with what came in fresh.
One brand, two mountain cafés
Café + stay
Upstairs at our hostel, directly above the rooms, and open from 8 am to 11 pm. It shifts from work-corner mode in the morning to a busier, chattier room by evening, with the kitchen open until it closes at 11 pm. Café only
Smaller, cooler air and a slower pace, about 30 to 40 minutes up the road from Jibhi towards Jalori Pass. Same coffee and the same kitchen philosophy, with forest and valley views out of the window. Most people stop in on their Jalori day, before or after the walk to Serolsar Lake. It's a café only; you'll sleep with us in Jibhi. The Shoja travel guide covers what else to expect up there. What to expect before you visit.
We have two. The Rustic Café Jibhi is upstairs at our hostel, The Rustic Jibhi, just above the rooms. The Rustic Café Shoja is further up the road towards Jalori Pass, about 30 to 40 minutes from Jibhi by taxi. Shoja is a café only; all our rooms are in Jibhi.
Coffee and chai that don’t taste like an afterthought, proper cooked breakfasts, and comfort food through the day. The exact menu shifts a bit with what’s available that week, so just ask whoever’s at the counter.

Walk in any time. You don’t need to be booked into a room to grab a table, work for a few hours, or just get a coffee.
On most evenings there’s live music or a movie, depending on the season and who’s staying, and a bonfire when the weather allows. Whether you’re dining alone or open to company, there’s a space for you.
