Where Shoja sits on the map
Shoja is a small village in Kullu district on NH305 between Jibhi and Jalori Pass. Distances vary by which bend you measure from, but think of it as a short uphill drive from Jibhi and roughly 5 km below the pass. The taxi ride from Jibhi costs about ₹800–₹1,000 one way, and takes 30-40 minutes. The road is narrow and scenic; daylight driving is strongly preferred.

Things to do from Shoja
Drive or taxi to Jalori Pass for sunrise or late-morning views. Trek to Serolsar Lake through oak forest. On longer stays, ask locals about Raghupur Fort viewpoints and short forest walks. Evenings are for early dinners and early sleep — that is part of the charm.
If you need café variety, community events, or a social hostel, keep Rustic Jibhi as your main stay and treat Shoja as the alpine chapter of the same trip.
Best time to visit Shoja
March–June and September–November are the most comfortable for clear trails. Monsoon is green and dramatic but slippery. Winter can be stunning with snow, though pass access may close — confirm locally before committing to a Jalori day.
