Before You Travel Checklist
Essential preparation steps before embarking on mountain routes toward Aut, Banjar, Jibhi, or Shoja.
Check latest weather and road conditions before starting your journey
Avoid travel at night during heavy rain or dense fog
Small vehicles: exercise extra caution on narrow mountain stretches and water-filled patches
Check vehicle condition (tyres, brakes, wiper blades, and fuel level) before starting
Carry extra fuel, a charged mobile phone, and a power bank
Stay in contact with your property host or family whenever mobile network is available
If Conditions Turn Bad
Critical safety instructions during heavy rainfall, cloudburst warnings, or severe weather.
Never approach rivers, streams, or fast-moving water under any circumstances
Never attempt to cross a flooded road, bridge, or culvert
If you encounter a landslide or falling stones: stop at a safe distance immediately — do not attempt to push through
Follow local authority, police, and resident guidance on real-time road status
