Why Jibhi works for groups

Jibhi suits groups well. There's no Mall Road crowd or busy market, just a small village in the forest, so a group can spend real time together without the usual hill-station distractions. At The Rustic Jibhi, the rooms are 6-bed and 4-bed mixed dorms, a female-only dorm and private suites, so a group can mix and match. Tell us your numbers early and we'll tell you how many we can fit on your dates.

We get college groups, friends' trips and small work offsites, many from Delhi and Chandigarh. The setting does a lot of the work: there's live music or a movie on most evenings, depending on the season and who's staying, bonfires when the weather allows, and the team helps organise trek groups and shared taxis.

Booking for large groups

For 10 or more people, book directly on WhatsApp (+91 83685 59027), ideally 3–4 weeks ahead. Send your group size, dates, which rooms you'd like (dorms, private suites or a mix) and anything else we should know, such as dietary needs or the kind of activities you're after. We'll confirm availability and the room split.

Booking on WhatsApp gets a flat 5% off the online rates, paid by UPI or a payment link in the chat. For bigger groups, ask us about group rates, the advance needed to hold the booking and the cancellation terms, which can differ from a standard booking. Work groups that need a GST invoice should mention it when booking.

Rooms and rates

Standard rates are ₹600 a night for a bed in the 6-bed mixed dorm, ₹750 in the 4-bed mixed dorm or the female-only dorm, and ₹3,000 a night for a private suite. Ask on WhatsApp about rates for your group. The stay page has photos of each room.

The room split depends on your group. College groups usually go for dorms. Work groups often mix private suites and dorms. The female-only dorm suits women's groups or anyone who'd prefer it. Agree the split when you book so everyone knows where they're sleeping.

Logistics

Transport is usually the hardest part for groups. From Delhi, overnight buses to Aut leave from Kashmiri Gate and Majnu Ka Tilla and take about 10–12 hours, so try to book seats together on the same bus. From Aut, it's about 1–1.5 hours to Jibhi. A taxi costs around ₹1,500–₹1,800 per vehicle (approximate, as of October 2026; prices vary), so a group of 12 needs two or three, or you can ask about a tempo traveller. Tell us in advance and we'll help line up transport for the last leg.

If you're driving, carpool from Delhi or Chandigarh (Chandigarh to Jibhi is about 7–8 hours by car). Parking near the property is limited, so tell us how many vehicles you're bringing. Pick one person to coordinate arrival times with us, and if people are on different buses, stagger arrivals rather than having everyone wait at Aut.

Group activities and a sample plan

Day 1: arrive, check in (from 1 pm) and settle in, then spend the evening around the bonfire if the weather allows, or with whatever's on that night. Day 2: Jalori Pass and Serolsar Lake, split into smaller groups for different fitness levels, with a stop at our café in Shoja on the way back. If your group prefers culture to a long walk, do a Chehni Kothi day trip instead. Day 3: the waterfall walk, a slow café morning and departure (check-out is 11 am).

We can help form trek groups and arrange shared taxis for day trips. If your group needs to get some work done, the fibre Wi-Fi has power backup. For anything more specific, ask us when you book, and see things to do for more ideas.

Group meals and dietary needs

Dinner isn't included in the room rate. The café upstairs serves food and drinks through the day and into the evening, and with advance notice it can take group meal orders. Ask on WhatsApp about options and pricing for your group.

Tell us about dietary needs when you book, including allergies, Jain or other requirements, and preferences. Local dhabas in the village are worth a meal or two for variety; carry some cash for those, as smaller places may prefer it for large bills.
