Delhi to Jibhi Weekend Itinerary

A practical 2-day weekend itinerary from Delhi to Jibhi with exact departure times, overnight bus details, and day-by-day schedule for Indian travelers.

Friday night: Depart Delhi

Leave Delhi on an overnight HRTC or private Volvo bus from Kashmiri Gate or Majnu Ka Tilla. Target departure: 8 PM–10 PM. Operators like Zingbus and Laxmi Holidays run nightly buses to Manali/Kullu that drop at Aut. Ticket cost: ₹1,100–₹1,500. Book 2–3 days in advance for weekend travel.

The journey takes 10–12 hours depending on traffic. You'll reach Aut between 6 AM and 10 AM Saturday morning. Carry a light jacket, water, and snacks. The buses have charging points but bring a power bank as backup.

Saturday morning: Aut to Jibhi

From Aut, take a shared taxi to Jibhi (₹1,500–₹1,800 for the full taxi, split among 4–6 passengers). The climb takes 1.5–2 hours. If you're the first to arrive at Aut, wait for other passengers or hire a private taxi for ₹2,000–₹2,500.

Reach Jibhi by 11 AM–12 PM. Check into your hostel, freshen up, and grab lunch at a local café. Rustic Jibhi offers check-in from 12 PM and has an in-house café for mountain breakfasts and coffee.

Saturday afternoon: Village exploration

Walk the Jibhi lanes, visit the waterfall (30-minute walk from main village), and explore local cafes. The Jibhi waterfall is accessible via a short trek through forest — wear shoes with grip. Entry is free, but carry cash for tea stalls nearby.

Evening: Return to your hostel, join community dinner if available, and rest. Mountain travel is tiring — sleep early to maximize Sunday.

Sunday: Jalori Pass or Serolsar Lake

Start early (7 AM) for Jalori Pass via Shoja. Taxi cost: ₹800–₹1,000 one way. The drive takes 45 minutes. From Jalori Pass, trek to Serolsar Lake (5 km one way, 1.5–2 hours each way). The trail is easy-to-moderate through oak forest.

If weather is poor or you prefer a shorter day, skip the trek and enjoy Jalori Pass views instead. Return to Jibhi by 2 PM, pack up, and head to Aut by 3 PM for your return bus to Delhi.

Sunday evening: Return to Delhi

Take an evening bus from Aut to Delhi (6 PM–8 PM departure). You'll reach Delhi by 6 AM–8 AM Monday morning. If you need to be at work Monday, consider taking a Monday morning bus instead and extending to a 3-day trip.

Total weekend cost estimate: ₹3,500–₹5,000 per person including transport, accommodation, and meals. Dorms are cheaper (₹600–₹750/night), private rooms cost more (₹2,500–₹3,500/night).
