Delhi to Jibhi Weekend Itinerary
A practical two-day weekend plan from Delhi to Jibhi: the overnight bus, a slow first day in the village, a trail day and the ride home.

Friday night: leave Delhi
Take an overnight HRTC bus from Kashmiri Gate or a private Volvo (many leave from Majnu Ka Tilla) heading for Kullu and Manali, and get off at Aut. Most leave in the evening, often between about 8 pm and 10 pm, and fares were around ₹1,100–₹1,500 when we last checked. Book 2–3 days ahead for a weekend.
The ride usually takes about 10–12 hours, so you'll reach Aut early on Saturday, often between 6 am and 10 am. Carry a light jacket, water and snacks. Many buses have charging points, but a power bank is a good backup.
Prices and timings last checked in October 2026; they change with season and fuel prices, so confirm with HRTC or the operator before you travel.
Saturday morning: Aut to Jibhi
From Aut, take a taxi up to Jibhi. It usually costs around ₹1,500–₹1,800 for the whole vehicle, so share it with other travellers if you can; between 4–6 people, that's roughly ₹250–₹450 each. The drive takes about 1–1.5 hours. If no one else is heading your way, take the taxi on your own or wait for a local bus, which is much cheaper but less frequent.
You'll usually be in Jibhi by mid to late morning, about 12–14 hours after leaving Delhi. Check-in at The Rustic Jibhi is from 1 pm, so head up to the café upstairs for breakfast and coffee, then settle in.
Saturday afternoon: village and waterfall
Walk the Jibhi lanes and head to the waterfall, about 1.5 km from The Rustic Jibhi (a 15-minute walk) through the forest. Wear shoes with grip, as the path can be slippery. Carry a little cash for tea stalls and any small entry charge, and stop at a café or two on the way back.
In the evening, there's live music or a movie at The Rustic Jibhi on most evenings, depending on the season and who's staying, and a bonfire when the weather allows. Dinner isn't included in the room rate, but the café serves food into the evening, and whether you're dining alone or open to company, there's a space for you. Get an early night if you can: mountain travel is tiring, and Sunday starts early.
Sunday: Jalori Pass and Serolsar Lake
Check-out is at 11 am, so pack before you leave in the morning and sort out your bags with the team. Start early, around 7 am, for Jalori Pass via Shoja. A taxi is roughly ₹800–₹1,000 one way, and the drive takes about 45 minutes to an hour. From the pass, the trail to Serolsar Lake is about 5 km each way, usually 1.5–2 hours each way, and easy to moderate through oak forest. On the way back down, stop for coffee or lunch at our café in Shoja, about 5 km below the pass.
If the weather turns or you want a shorter day, skip the trek and enjoy the views from the pass instead. Jalori is subject to weather and road conditions and usually closes after heavy snow in winter, so ask us the evening before. Aim to be back in Jibhi by about 2 pm and leave for Aut by 3 pm.
Sunday evening: back to Delhi
Evening buses to Delhi pass through Aut, typically leaving between about 6 pm and 8 pm (check the current schedule). You'd reach Delhi early on Monday, around 6 am to 8 am if traffic is kind. Can I do Jibhi in 2 days from Delhi?
You can, but it's tight. Leave Friday night, arrive Saturday morning, do Jalori Pass and Serolsar Lake on Sunday and take the evening bus back. For a more relaxed trip, give it three days.
